Intro: Who They Are
When Amy Good first joined AMA Nashville, she was stepping into a new season professionally, emerging as a partner at EyeCandy Creative and eager to deepen her industry knowledge, expand her network, and find meaningful connections while working mostly from home. Today, she plays a vital role in our chapter as the leader of Coffee & Conversations, creating a welcoming space where marketers of all experience levels can connect, learn, and share openly.
What They Do for the Chapter
As the facilitator of AMA Nashville’s Coffee & Conversations, Amy leads the monthly member-only roundtable held on the second Tuesday morning of each month. What began as her simply showing up early, and becoming the unofficial greeter, naturally evolved into a leadership role.
From thoughtfully sparking discussion with insightful questions to ensuring every voice in the room feels welcome, Amy brings warmth, curiosity, and intention to each session. The conversations have become a standout success, drawing a diverse mix of attendees, from recent grads to seasoned professionals, agency leaders to client-side marketers and contractors. Under Amy’s guidance, the group has become a space where experience levels blend freely and participation feels effortless and inclusive.
In addition to Coffee & Conversations, Amy has represented AMA Nashville on a Belmont University panel and volunteered with the chapter at The Branch food bank, further extending AMA’s impact in the community.
Why They Volunteer
“From 2018 to 2023, life felt like a lot of surviving—moving to Nashville, becoming a mom, navigating a career change during COVID, and becoming a partner in my business. Over the past couple of years, I’ve focused more on personal growth and leaning into what genuinely brings me joy. Volunteering with AMA has been part of that. It’s helped me feel more connected, present, and energized.”
Amy was drawn to volunteering as a way to build authentic relationships, give back to the marketing community, and create the kind of professional space she herself was looking for.
What They’ve Learned
Through her volunteer experience, Amy has gained valuable perspective by engaging with marketers across specialties, industries, and career stages. She credits AMA with helping her sharpen her listening skills, approach partnerships with more empathy, and better anticipate the needs of collaborators and contractors. The connections she’s made have even led to talented professionals joining EyeCandy’s extended team!
