Speaker: Lee Pepper

Lee is currently Chief Information Officer and Chief Creative Officer at The Meadow; he has 25+ years of progressively responsible leadership in digital marketing and information technology in healthcare companies, but he began his career working for Ross Perot's presidential campaigns in 1992 and 1996. He often says that he may be the only person with a Political Science degree to actually have worked in politics.  This led to a position with Perot's IT services company, Perot Systems, where he spent 10 years before moving to Nashville and joining digital music startup PassAlong Networks. Pepper then joined Foundations Recovery Network (FRN) in 2008 as their Chief Information Officer and Chief Marketing Officer. During his tenure, he moved FRN from traditional advertising campaigns to search engine optimization, search engine marketing and social media strategy. This paradigm shift transformed FRN into an industry leader within behavioral healthcare. Pepper was known for growing the highly successful Foundations Events conference series, creating the Heroes In Recovery social movement, the Recovery Unscripted podcast and launching numerous new facility brands, including Black Bear Lodge, The Oaks at La Paloma, and Skywood. Following FRN's successful sale to United Health Services, Pepper joined Kohlberg-backed SpecialtyCare, an operating room services company based in Brentwood before moving over to another Kohlberg backed company, The Meadows in May of this year. Pepper also spent eight years in the U.S. Army Reserves, completing Air Assault School and Officer Candidate School, finishing his service as an armor officer.
