Healthcare organizations have powerful stories to share. Join us as we welcome three experts that define success of video storytelling.

Healthcare organizations have powerful stories to share, and we are bringing together experts that can help guide you to do just that. Video storytelling guides viewers through relatable narrative-based content that gets to the heart of their message, ignites an emotional connection, and presents a satisfying solution.

Join us as we welcome three people that help define success of video storytelling in the healthcare industry.

Barry Simmons is the Founder of Stonecastle Pictures, a local video agency that are experts at developing healthcare stories into high-impact commercials, web videos, and short films that achieve your marketing objectives. Barry produced and directed "Sons of Lwala," a feature-length documentary which aired on PBS and received an Emmy, CINE Golden Eagle, and some film festival awards. Awarded journalism fellowships to the International Reporting Project at Johns Hopkins University-SAIS and the Pulitzer Center on Crisis Reporting, both in Washington, D.C.

He and his partners founded Stonecastle in 2008 on a commitment to create branded video content that places a relentless focus on effective storytelling. Over the years, they’ve distinguished themselves by their ability to capture deeply personal performances from real people, which has led to award-winning work in healthcare, education, non-profits, and advertising.

Iain Montgomery is a filmmaker and producer in Creative Services Marketing at Vanderbilt University Medical center. His experience spans across the entire medical center, including both internal use for essential employee information and updates, and capturing patient stories to externally promote VUMC providers and services. Iain's background is in production, photography, video editing and journalism, and he has a real passion for real-people storytelling.

Linda Zettler is Associate Director for Digital Engagement in Vanderbilt University Medical Center’s Office of Marketing and Engagement. In that role, she leads daily operations of the Vanderbilt Health social media team and serves as managing editor of consumer health and wellness website, MySouthernHealth.com. The content marketing website features interviews with Vanderbilt experts and is powered by the health system’s robust social media program, a weekly email for subscribers and other channels.

Before joining Vanderbilt, Linda worked as a journalist for almost 25 years, reporting and editing most of that time with Gannett Co. Inc. Most recently, she led entertainment coverage as a content strategist for The Tennessean in Nashville. Linda earned her bachelor’s degree from the University of Mississippi, with a major in journalism.
